Posology, 15 March 1831.

Unless the quantity of matter published
be limited by the practical use capable of being made of
it, every additional treatise, will instead
of diminishing encrease the difficulty.

The information contained in Euclids Elements
Euclid's data and the treatises on Trigonometry
should be condensed into one body.

In Cunas Euclid Trigonometry and
Logarithms are included: and in
treating of Trigonometry he introduces
the equivalence as between geometrical
and algebraic demonstration. So in Humes Additions

Sole use of demonstration, prevention of
error in application to practice. [+]1

At commencement begin with the analytic
order: but where points are thus arrived at,
thenceforward the synthetic must be employed.
