As to modes of invention
(effectuation and demonstration)
first come those
which the nature of things
furnishes. Then for elucidation
by exemplification
those employed
by Euclid
7. In regard to media of invention — effectuation
and demonstration included we shall in the first place
speak of those which the nature of things presents itself
as furnishing: This done, we shall for elucidation sake, bring to
view those which may be seen employed by Euclid.
