Table may stand
expressed exhibited
propos the diagrams belonging
to propositions
in any number,
there expressed: and
this without the letterpress
of which the text
is composed.

once conceived by
means of the ordinary
discourse.

11 When for a in the instance of propositions in such number
in the instance of which it is thought the exhibition may be of
use these serieses of diagrams diagrams have been thus delineated,
and — this done it is conceived that put together in the form of of a Table or Shape, distinct from its
text of the work, the several truths thus announced and
proved — may, after reading bestowed upon the letter press and
conception once formed of the number of it, be more promptly on each occasion,
with more promptitude and facility called to mind, as
occasion serves, than by the reading of the correspondent
number of diagrams in letter press.

Name of a Table thus composed — an Aptodiagrammatic
Table
— say a Table composed of Diagrams
of alone: of Diagrams without letter press

If, in a Table of this sort for the purpose of
more effectual designation of the portion of the diagram with
relation to the reader, there be found a convenience in
employing small marks instead of words, an explanation
of these several marks by means of the several corresponding
words will be inserted on the face of the Table. In this
design and these abbreviating marks, will agree
with those which are at present employed in Algebra.
