Question 1. What is the branch of art and science
distinguished by the name of Posology?

Answer. The art and science which has, for its
subject, whatever relates to quantity, abstractedly considered.

Question 2. What do you mean by quantity abstractedly
considered?

Answer. Abstraction means taking away. By?
qQ?uantity is abstractedly considered when, in the consideration
of the portion of matter in question, for example suppose
my hand, I take away my thoughts from every property or
