propositions contained in the
work entitled "Euclid's Elts.
of Geometry" were discovered,
taught & learnt antecedently
to those which enter into
the composition of that work.
Of the propositions of which
triangular figures are the subject
a number more or less considerable
may be seen inserted in tho'
in grammatical form the
sentences are more or less
modified in the work entitled
in Latin "Euclid's Data": which
work it is believed is not
commonly read by students in
Mathematics: & when it is read
is not read till after "Euclid's
Elts of Geomy" as aforesaid.
