Tucker Dean of Gloucester an honest though
political divine on the subject & at the commencement
of the American Revolutionary
War. Cui bono — is a question which now
perhaps for the first time though assuredly not
without propriety & it is hoped not without
use may be put at the head of may
be made to give commencement to a
short essay on that branch of art &
Science which in an expressive characteristic
manner may be termed Posology
after having for so long a series
of ages been so uncharacteristically
denominated Mathematics.
