General Scheme of Imprisonment

=Imprisonment General Scheme &c

Let there be three kinds of imprisonment
differing one from another in the degree
of their severity. The 1st for Insolvents:
to come in in case of rashness or imprudence extravagance
in lieu of satisfaction. The

The 2d for first malefactors destined to temporary whose imprisonment

1. Let I all insolvents be upon the footing of
bankrupts compellable to discover under pain

of rashness or extravagance: or else let rashness or extravagance be presumed in the first instance: and let the same it lie upon the Insolvent to exculpate himself. To the same prison
let such persons be committed as are
arrested upon mesne process. On those persons of this
class the punishment imprisonment comes in in lieu of
satisfaction
before judgment to enforce; after
judgment to stand in lieu of Satisfaction. –
Here let there be no mark of Infamy. Nor
here let there be here any [affected displays of rigour, or
any affected display of it]
