In sort ration service might be properly bestowed
if there was no other mode of remuneration
that which it be proper who the are others- not caged
in to be come objecting

What I have to submitt is that
1. that in no one of those cases is any justification
afforded for the bestowal of a sinecure.

2, that in every case and consequently in any

2 that not only in every one of the cases
but that in every case whatever some eight
nine or ten distinguishable mischiefs may be
seen recording to the nature of the fund from
which the consti of the sinecure offices may
be seen resulting from to each of them sufficient
to provejustify and demand the propriety of abolishin of all sinecures.

Supposing these propositions both of them correct a
question that can not but present cheif is how
was it that the sort of thing called a Sinecure
not only came into existence but that, after
all assaultsattacks that have been made upon it it
continues to have its defenders?

As in the mode in what it came into existence
it is an object matter of curiosity for to the satisfaction of which
a few pages shouldmay be employed perhaps not altogether
without use.

As to the mans question in what cases is the
attachment manifested towards the mode form of remuneration
or pretended remuneration to be ascribed the answer
is this -viz. that whatsoever mass be the mass quantity of
bestowable emolument preserved in the form of sinecure
such will be the quantity that will remain to be
bestowed applied in each or rather in such manner as to be productive to be applied to the for the donationbestowal of
public money canthere

either valid reason or
so much as customary
or colourable pretence.
