SineCures

Their Sinecure was to this, not because they decried most
but because they fell vacant during their times.

In the In the instance of no one of these great characters
I have said it as much before and now beg leave to repeat it – in the instance
of no one of all these great characters is it my meaning do I mean
to presume to draw into question their fitness in relation to with reference to for their respective
high situations. In the instance of no one of them all In no one of those instances,
do I dispute mean to start so much as a doubt respecting
their full title to reward, accordingly to the the matter of reward – I mean pecuniary reward on the
score of any of the good and salutary if not strictly
necessary purposes to which that pretious matter is
capable of being applied, as abovementioned.

All I mean to insist on is – that having had the
salary, having the perquisites, having the patronage – the
rich and ample patronage, having the presence, having
the dignity attached to those respective offices – of
them of each and every of theirs it might be said,
and with no strict a conformity to truth as it could
of any other man: Pharisees themselves not excepted –
Verily, verily, they have their reward.

Their reward? – Yes: but for what services?
I answer – for whatsoever services in their respective high
situations it was in the ordina in their respective in the ordinary course of things nature and power
to render.

In the ordinary course of things – Yes: but suppose
extraordinary services: and from so deserving a
hand as that from by which those respective extraordinary
rewards (extraordinary good things you will at least allow
now to be called if not rewards) does not loyalty prescribe
ab inference assertive asserting of the existence of a corresponding
portion of extraordinary service?
