SineCures
Two descriptions of persons were at that moment as little
present to the eye of his Lordship the Noble Orators noble mind as to his
eye of flesh: he viz. the of Scotland about
1600,000 and the penalising Advocates, a few score: the
preeminently learned person in whom the apprehended injury would
bear hardest was in both points at once more fortunate:
noble: his station was at his Lordship's elbow: his image, in his Lordships heart he alone was seen, he alone could be thought of.
The noble was station occupied by the Noble Orator
at that time on the left side and so in that matter the interest
of the 1,600,000 prevailed over the interest of this one.
But the station of the Right Honorable of papists popery
on the right side of of his House: and so, in the natural order of
things on the question peace or no peace the interests
of the one, or of the two who to this purpose are one,
would prevail over the interests of the 16,000,000: not
to mention the so many other millions who are not
worth thinking of.
