Parly Reform Sinecures

But the truth is – and is very well understood – that
the deception is not really at an end. The list of
Sinecures and Sinecurists is in the hands of 658
members persons who are Members of the House of Commons:
that is of the that small part of the number by
which whom such things or any things are read.

The list of places is in the Red Book: that book
which is the hands of every body body: of many a
person in whose hands no other book is to be found. ever finds itself.
In this book what you Of each Sinecurist that which
in this book you see is that he holds such a place:
what you do not see is in most instances what
he gets by it, in every instance that he has nothing
to do for it: working hands and idle hands – and
being all in the same dress in the same official uniform
are jumbled mixed together in such a manner that it
no ordinary eye lies not within the power of any ordinary
eye of one eye out of a hundred out of
a thousand to discover the difference.
