Such being the amended what must have been the original Report?

In 2d this No (73) the number of the articles in number, 11
eleven.

This would This No of the Appendix being marked
as coming from Scotland, here with this one should naturally
have expected to find one and to the mass of information such afforded
from by Scotland.

The next No however viz. 74 is composed
wholly of a mass of information furnished also by
Scotland. Number of the articles contained in it – 24.

It bears for its title – not as before "Scotland –
"Sinecures or Offices wholly or chiefly executed by
Deputy" – but "Scotland – Offices executed By
Deputy
.

Columns, as in the case of No 73, 3: titles of the Columns
also the same: But the contents exhibiting material viz. column 1. No of Paper. Column 2. Name of Establishment.
itself Column 3, Total Amount of Fees and Salaries.
But the under the title Name of the Establishment the
contents exhibit material differences. In No 73 as in
addition to
have nothing but what is announced by the title viz.the name of the Establishment bears
nothing – the – or rather the title of the Officer
as have nothing but the name of the Officer: in No 74
in addition to these we have other particulars: viz. where the officer in relation to those certain of the articles instances
an intimation that the Officer whose name is stated
serves in person as well as by Deputy: out of the 24
articles the number of those concerning which in relation to this statement
is made is six, and in relation to one other article, viz.
that in which Lord Viscount Melville is exhibited in the character
of Privy Seal with Fees and Salaries to the amount of £3,107, an
intimation is given
of " Amounts which says "And an
"Annuity during the
"time he continues to
"hold the Privy Seal,
"£1,500".
