But of those which are not wholly but only chiefly
executed by Deputy may with propriety be looked for
under this head viz. Offices executed by Deputy, still
the perplexity of the reader is not the less the ground of complaint cause of regret is not as strong as ever. Had
it stood by itself Offices chiefly and indeed but not wholly executed
by Deputy might perhaps have been looked for under this head.
But when No the Nos immediately preceding No, No 75 is
reverted adverted to, the case where they are only chiefly executed by Deputy
is (it is there seen) noted as a distinct case.
Oh then, (says the reader to himself) this being the case,
then or it is that when Offices are said simply and without
the addition of chiefly said to be executed by Deputy,
they are wholly executed by Deputy, without doubt.

Judging from the titles above such is the conclusion
which a comparison between the two seems to render undeniable unavoidable,
but however how far it would be found supported by
the contents is another question, and that a very different one.

3. "Paid out of the Civil List of Ireland" says the title
of No 75 of the offices contained under it. Good again:
had the same species of information extended itself to the Offices
exhibited by the next pe No viz 76.

From the knowledge nature circumstances of the fund out of which the emolument
is derived what if any practical inference was meant to be
deduced? Of any such practical information no intimation can I
find anywhere as having been given by the Committee. Fees
or Salaries between the two species funds, these respectively denominated.
No difference in point of propriety is in my view as above stated,
. But between these two funds no not the any so much as any the slightest difference at all
seems to have presented itself to the Committee. For in the title
often Columns if same they are throughout lumped together: –
Total amount of fees and salaries.
