Sinecures
Of the statement marked No 3, the title is – An Account
of all Offices granted in Reversion in Ireland; specifying
the nature of the Office, and the Period for which
the Office was granted.
Of this statement in which are contained 8 articles
the matter id distributed among under six heads, the titles
of which are as follows – 1. No of the Paper. 2. Offices.
3. To whom in Reversion. 4.Periods of Commencement.
5. Terms. 6. Annual Value.
Of the whole number of 8 articles, the number of those
in which the No of the paper is given is but 3: and
of those in of which the Annual Value is professed to be
given, the number is but 4.
In addition to the information announced by the
words To whom in Reversion, a head of information
which would naturally be looked out for is who it the persons are
that are respectively in possession of those same Offices?
In relation to this question conjectures may be formed
grounded in the title of the next column viz. Periods
of Commencement compared with the contents of the several
articles placed under it. The period of commencement
is in each instance stated to be on the death or surrender
of the person some one person thereupon named. If

in question be not of the number of those which were at the
time of the return were held under a grant granted for joint lives, or if being held for under a grant
for joint lives all the lives but one are expired, in that
case the name of the person in possession is made known:
but in any other case, not.
