Sinecures
The Appendix No 77 has first for its title the f words following,
viz. List of Reversions and of Offices held for
Joint Lives in England and Plantations.
It occupies 3 paves viz. 287, 288 and 289.
The number of articles contained in it is 53.
Of The matter of it is distributed under in three Columns
the titles of which are as follows: viz. 1. No of Paper.
2. Establishment &c. 3. Total Amount of Salaries and
Fees.
Of the whole number of 53 articles the number of those in
which the No of the Paper is given is but 27 omitting 26: and of those of which
the Total Amount of Salaries and Fees is professed to be given the number is but 31; omissions 22.
In the Of the words "Establishment &c" on this occasion
as on a former one what occurrs is that the
and information conveyed by it is not altogether so particular or so
clear as could have been wished.
In this mass of articles thus intituled thus designated
by an undistinguishing common title are comprehended
articles of four different kinds.
1. Offices held and or fee: and which accordingly upon the
face of them could not with any propriety have been
placed under that title. Of these there are
