§ Omissions

Of the omissions observable in the Reports of those Committees
there are two sorts may be distinguished.

One is where a Sinecure being in existence, no mention
of it is made.

The other is – where a Sinecure being spoken of as
existing, the emolument remains altogether undisclosed.

1. Sinecures existing and unnoticed.
Of this one an omission of this sort an example has happened to
fall under my own knowledge. The amount is £500 clear of
all special deductions. Department to which this sinecure The office is among those of which mention
is made by in the Sinecure list given by the Committee
of 1807: and the office of the chief person in the department is stands
upon that list.
