Mode of designation, in respect of as applied to offices and persons
Whatsoever be the occasion, when two or more
reasonable beings hold converse with each other, it is
not only a desirable, but happily for mankind
an altogether customary practice, especially where the in respect
of simplicity and notoriety of the objects are not as to not
to contain any source afford no cause of obscurity or ambiguity, so to
employ the means of discourse, as that each object
shall to every eye under which the statement is designed
to come, be distinguishable and distinguished
promptly and without hesitation apprehended
for what it is to be what was meant and distinguished from every
show with which, but for such attention, it might
be liable to be confounded.
