taken of all those several anomalies, the instances
would be comparatively few, very few, in which any
alternate misconception or even embarassment would
have place.
But though the duration of it were be but momentary
a sensation such as that which is produced by obscurity
in discourse is that which is produced by ambiguity, is
always an unpleasant one, and is consequently that
sort of sensation from which the author to whom either the interests
of his readers, or his own are an object of regard, will
be desirous of saving them from, in proportion as the
means of doing so pursuing with effect this branch of economy lies within his competencies.
