Till the eye of public concern and scrutiny has towards it
his is a species of property upon like any other to every occupant,
if I do not get it somebody else will, and the public will especially
be made to pay.
The vexation and expence, or an rate the vexation
which in the instance case of the respective possessors of those several interests can
not but in a proportion more or less considerable have
been an attendant in such an enquiry of this sort, can
not, to a mind duly susceptible of the affections of sympathy,
but be matter of regret.
There are circumstances however by The cause for regret will however be were very
varied in no inconsiderable degree.
1. One case is that of a person for whom, he being
thus within age, a provision of this sort was made at
the public expence by parental by the solicitude
and solicitation of parents relatives or friends.
