And for avoiding doubts which may
arise whether the Office or Place of a Commissioner
of Peace for the said District be within any
of the Provisions contained in an Act of the
Sixth Year of the Reign of Queen Anne, intitleled
An Act for the Security of her Majesty's Person
and Government and of the Succession of the
Crown of Great Britain in the Protestant
Line, or whether the appointment of any
such Commissioner being a Member of the
House of Commons shall vacate his
Seat in that House be it further enacted
Comsrs not disqualified to sit in H of Comms.
and declared that the said Office Place or
Appointment of a Commissioner of the Peace
for the District of the Metropolis to be made
be virtue of this present Act of Parliament
shall not be deemed or taken to be within
intent or purview meaning of the said Act of
the Sixth Year of Queen Anne whereby to
disqualify any such Commissioner from
being elected or sitting or voting as a Member
of the House of Commons nor shall the
Appointment of any such Commissioner
if a Member of the said House vacate
his Seat in the said House any thing
contained in the said Act of the Sixth
Year of Queen Anne to the or in any other
Act to the contrary notwithstanding
