If the Goods were
not stolen, or the
felon, or stolen
goods were found
in the House, when
entered, yet the
Officer not to be
liable to any Action.

And be it further enacted, that in case the said goods,
chattels or other things so carrying or conveying were not
stolen, or unlawfully come by or in case any felons or accessories to felony person or
persons suspected of felony or any idle and disorderly person
or persons, rogues and vagabonds, or incorrigible rogue or
other offenders as aforesaid, or the case any goods or other
things, stolen, or unlawfully come by, and suspected to have
been bought, received, or any things conceded or detained,
shall not be found in the said such dwelling house, outhouse
shop, warehouse, cellar, yard or other place, nevertheless
the said Commissioners or any of them and any person or
persons being an officer, or officers of the said Commissioners Over again
or Commissioners having been authorized by a Warrant
under the hand and seal of the said Commissioners or any
of them, shall not be liable to any action, bill, suit, plaintiff
or information, or be in any way molested, or troubled for
such entering into, and breaking of any door, or windows
or reasonable ground of suspicion any law usage or custom
to the contrary notwithstanding.
