Officer may
deliver Persons
into custody of
any Constable or
Beadle of a Parish
And be it further enacted that it shall
and may be lawful for all and every officer
or officers of the said commissioners to deliver into the custody of one or more
Constable Headborough Watchman Beadle or other
Ministerial officer of the Peace or Constables
Headboroughs Watchmen Beadles or other ministerial
Officers of the Peace appointed in or for any
Parish Precinct or Place within the said District
any such offender or offenders as he or they
may have apprehended or any such chattels or other things stolen
goods as he or they may have discovered
and every such Constable Headborough
Beadle or other Ministerial officer of the
Peace is hereby required to receive such
Person or Persons into his custody in order
that he or they may be carried before a
Justice of the Peace and be dealt with
according to Law. & such goods chattels or things shall
upon demand be delivered back to the law officer or officers to be
secured & disposed of as the Law shall direct
