Printed Notices
of Felons &c.
<p>And be it further Enacted. That the said
Commissioners or their Secretary, shall cause
printed Notices to be Circulated, containing
descriptions of felons & offenders against the peace & of stolen goods chattels & other things and other Circumstances -
relating to such Felons, and other Offenders
against the Law as shall be harboured within
the said District, or elsewhere within the
Kingdom of England. And the Postmaster
General for the Time being, or his Deputy, or
Deputies by him thereunto sufficiently -
authorized, shall, as often as he or they
are thereunto required by the said Commissioner
or Commissioners, or their said Secretary, cause
some of such printed Notices to be inclosed in
such of the Mail-bags, next to be dispatched
from the Post Offices as the said Commissioners
or their said Secretary shall require, to be dispersed delivered
by the respective Letter Carriers to the principal peace officers in the different places
at which such mail-bags shall arrive to be by him stuck up in the most frequented
parts of such town where it may be seen & read and

every person who is by this Act required to have
a Certificate as herein aftermentioned, shall,
as often as any such printed notice shall
be sent to him, her, or them, cause the same to
be placed in the most Conspicuous part of his,
her, or their house, where it may be seen
and read. And the said Certificate, aCommissrs.
or their said Secretary shall cause the like
printed Notices to be stuck up so as to be seen & read in such
parts of the said District, as are most
notorious. and frequented. & as it may seem most
proper to the said Commissioners
