Except in the
Sessions and in the parish
business and where
the Matter arose
out of the District

Provided always and be it further enacted that no clerk or
clerks to or other Officer to any Justice or Justices of the Peace
shall incur either of the last aforesaid Forfeitures or Penalties by
reason of any Business transacted or of any Fee or Recompense
taken by any such Person or Persons as a Magistrate or
Justice or as Clerk to any Justice in any Session of Oyer
and Terminer Goal Delivery or Sessions of the Peace or on
Occasion of any Riot Rout or unlawful Assembly within the
said District, nor by reason of any Business transacted with
Relation to or of any Fee or Recompence taken for or on Account
of any Order of Bastardy Districts for Parochial Rates or Order of
Removal of any Poor Person nor by reason of any Business transacted
or Fee or Recompence taken by any such Person or Persons as a
Magistrate or Justice or as Clerk to any Justice, if the matter
complained of or to be heard and determined arose without the
Limits of the aforesaid District of the Metropolis, Nor shall the
said Commissioner or Commissioners or either of them incur the
said forfeitures for acting elsewhere than at one of the Public Offices
by reason of any special Business transacted by him or them as
Justice of Justices of the Peace at their Office.
