enjoyment a pleasure of a certain kind which he
derives or expects to derive from the contemplation of
the evil thus sustained.

In this case the act in question is termed an
act of vengeance.

But besides being an act of vengeance - and not
the less for being an act of vengeance it is not an act of
punishment.
