1. If the offence be of the positive cast, then comes the following
string of appellatives, expressive of the so many results, the production
of which is in different cases aimed at, viz.
1. Amendment determent or reformation. 2. disablement. 3. amendment or reformation 3. determent.
4. Self-defence. 5. Self-preservation. 6. Safe custody.

string of appellatives, expressive, as above, of the result
aimed at — viz. 1. Compulsion or constraint. 2. Intern
3. Compensation or in the sense in which it is equivalent to satisfaction rendered to the individual injured
in a particular shape (commonly a pecuniary shape)
in consideration of for injury resulting from an the offence, in consideration of or for damage
resulti produced taking place without injury, ie. Taxation
