June 2.d 1760
I had your favor of the 30th Nov.r
for wch I am greatly obliged to you, as it informs me
particularly on what footing I am with the Miss Morleys.
I am heartily glad you Stoped my Brother from paying
their Legacies, indeed they deserve no kind of indulgence
from me. — I wish it was brought to a period, & hope y.r
utmost endeavors that it may be brought to a Conclusion
& whatever it is necessary for me to pay them I shall
do, but nothing more. As to the proof of my Sons
Death it cannot be made by any other but M.rs Berry
of Lancaster — You'l please send a Commission for her
Examination, she being old, & I w.d by no means put
her to the inconvenience of so long a journey. As
there is no other Claimant but my Daughters I imagine
there will be no great necessity for the above proof, was
my Son liveing no dout but I S.d claim for him, knowing
his prior right to his sisters.—
