The Paper was brought to me on Saturday
Morning: but unluckily it came too late, the
Room was papered before. How could that happen
you will ask. Your Intention of sending Paper
from London You had communicated (it seems) to
me only. When the Carpenter's and Plaisterer's Work was
done therefore, the Upholsterer's People by Your
Son's Directions went to Work: & the Paper was all
put up excepting two or three Breadths, before I knew
any thing of the Matter. The paper they have put
up is what they call a Stucco Paper, & is I think,
pretty enough. The Paper you sent, the Upholsterer
has agreed to take instead of what is put up:
Which I look upon as a very fair Offer.
Your Son is very well & appears very
happy in his new Situation. You may depend
upon it, that he shall not go into his own Cham
