Sir
You may remember that in the last Summer I called upon
you on Behalf of Mr. John Graydon to acquaint you that he was desirous of your
reconveying his Estate called Dunder's farm which which was in mortgage to you
& long since paid off and that the Term attendant upon that Affair might also
be assigned for Mr. Graydon's benefit at which time you told me that you shd. be
very ready to do any thing of that sort and that Mr. Woodward to whom the 500 years
Term was assigned In Trust was dead. It is now necessary that this business
shd. be done forthwith & therefore I should be obliged to you to let me know who is
the proper Representative of Mr. Woodward & I will send you the Draught
of a Conveyance & Assignment for your Perusal and shall satisfy you for
your Trouble in this Affair but I must beg the favour of you not to delay
letting me have an Answer.

It appears to me that in March 1739 the were
mortgaged to Mr. Tymewell for 300£ by Term for 500 years, That in March 1754 a
Morgage in fee was made of the to Mr. Jereh Bentham as a Security for
400£ and the Term of 500 years assigned to Mr. Woodward In Trust to attend the
Inheritance all which Deeds were made by you & that the last mentd. Mortgage was pd:
off in Octr. 1747 but the estate never reconveyed or the Term assigned. Mr. Graydon says he
has no other Title Deeds of this Estate than the above Mortgage and Assignment & that the
other Title Deeds are with you & indeed I have a rect, under your hand dated 11th
Novr. 1747 whereby you acknowledge to have in your Custody the Title Deeds —
belonging to Messrs. John & Benjn: Graydon of their farms called Dunder's farm
& Park farm. Mr. Graydon therefore begs you will look up those Deeds and
he will thankfully pay you for your trouble. I am
Sir
Your most hum: Servt.
Wm. Troopeny
