I gave a Dentist here a ducat for putting my teeth
in better order. It was in consequence of a piece of advice
from Old Hanbury. The fellow poked cotton into a hole
in one of my teeth and took it out again repeatedly to
cleanse it out and then he stuffed in some fine sheet lead,
to fill it up. On the other side where I had 2 or 3 stumps
he broke off a little piece which was in the way and then
filed them down quite smooth, so that there is now no
harbour for the food to lodge in. He said they did not
want sealing, and advised me only to clean them with a brush.
Old Hanbury tells me he does not call this a visit and
that if I wont stay longer with them next time I come
he dont desire to see my face again. He certainly is
one of the most friendly of men of the common stamp.
He seems always cheerfull and happy himself and does
his utmost to make his family so, though he is no Phil
I had often heard Mr Lindgren speak of his Character fr
Mr Lindgren and and from every person I have heard
speak of him. He has an old arm chair belonging
to Baron Kloppman which was left here many years ago.
Mathias also sends his remembrances to the Baron.

than ever that they were finished.
Whaever Queries you wish to have answered send
them to G.P.H. Norrmann Governor of the
Academy of Commerce at Hamburgh and he will
answer them for you himself or procure the answers.
He & Mr Chas Hanbury between them or either of
them will get you any of the books which you
wish to have. Direct your letters to Mr Hanbury
to save prevent Norrmann's paying the Postage
but I shall write further to you upon this.
some of the books of which I have given you the title which I thought you
would like best shall be sent with the Catalogue
as to the rest you may send your orders to
Mr Hanbury he is so obliging as to offer to
send them and to manage every thing for you.
He will set down the expences to my account.
He is very much pleased with the Fragment
and wants much to have one I told him it was
out of print. if you think the booksellers have
any get one & send him. Remember him
also for a copy of Punishments. Wont you?
