The Letter your receive here for Catherineburgh
may be of material Service to you as the person
to whom it is directed, is employed in drawing
the Plans & Maps of the Government. Besides
he is Brother-in-Law to Jurtfchaninof &
very much my Friend. A pity it is, that he
speaks no French. If you should get time
enough to Catherineburgh; before the
rivers are navigable & the Iron-Lighters
sent of, you may unload with him what
ever is an incumberance to you & have it
dispatched by Jurtfchaninof's
Caravan,
to Petersburgh. But the ores of Pochodafkin's
mines will be best left at Nighno-Taghils,
directing the people of Mr. Demidof
to put them on board such Ships as are
to arrive next autumn at Petersburgh.
You receive here small specimens of those
ores which you might neglect to take at
