We are as quiet here as mice — Nobody left but
Miss Fox & Col. Barre — Mr & Mrs Hamilton of your
city have been here for 4 or 5 days — They left us but
this morning.

Yesterday came a letter from Sam — which I
believe I shall inclose.

My hearty congratulations to my Mother on
Charles's honourable success.
