he seemed to have entirely abandoned as the idea he before had
had of setting out shortly for in pursuit of his plan.

You must know that neither this man not any other as
things stand here at present could succede in any such business
at that part of the world in opposition to or even without
the assistnace of this friend of mine. Would it not therefore
be worthwhile at any rate to have some kind of connection
with this said man?
