for that purpose. Tis time I know of 2 parcels of
letters which have missed me and are sent to distant
parts of the country from whence they cannot return
to reach me for some weeks, now am I to stay
here an indefinite time to wait for these letters,
the contents of which most probably are to advice me
to be as expeditious as possible on my return, or am
I trusting to that probability to resolve on setting
off as soon as possible and contrary to all my
former resolutions about money: matters, take advantage
of the credit I have from friendship and run a risk
of rending myself unpardonable in my father's eyes and
unhappy to desperation. The last letter I have
from you namely of the 24th of October near a year
ago. I read over & over again and when I think
attend only to their contents I cannot but resolve
