1783
The young gentleman who will deliver you this
letter is Mr Jeffrey Raigersfeld, son of Baron Raigersfeld,
Secretary to of Legation to the Imperial Embassy
at our Court. He is about to sail in the capacity of
Midshipman on board the Cob Medeator Captn Collingwood
who is order'd upon the Leeward Islands station. As it is
so long since we have had the satisfaction of hearing from
you, and as I know not at this length of time so much
as how to direct to you by any ordinary conveyance,
I think myself happy in the
opportunity of writing by the above
young gentleman who will not grudge the
any trouble that may be necessary to find you out. If
during the time the ship lying lies at Antigua you should
have it in your power to contribute any thing towards
rendering his situation there agreeable to him, I make
no doubt of your readiness to do so and you will very
much oblige me
