Tonlanka Canal I have not thought of it, or scarcely
seen it after the first week I was appointed to
attend to it.

As I have quitted the world again, I cannot give
you an news of it. I hope Mad. me Lagaitsky
has satisfied you in that respect, although I think
no one knows less of what passes there than She,
I will keep out however to Shew I am above
before I set off

Notwithstanding every thing is settled with the Turks so
much to their satisfaction here, Potemkin talks of setting out
for Cherson and the Crimea. He talks likewise of going
to Vienna to see the Emperor. There are Masquerades
here twice a week at the New Theatre, and People
are much pleased with them.

What perturbations and fermentations you are
all in! Will you never have done chopping & Changing?
As Bishops are for allowing Votes to Roman Catholics,
I may expect to hear of your Brother proposing
the allowing them to women.
