day something thwarted my intention, but
now I will throw aside that tiresome copying

are at Zarsko Selo about 10 days, where my
boys have accompanied me, and where they will
stay with me notwithstanding all what has been
said a rowing twelve months ago. I wish and look for nothing, therefore
will upon no consideration deprive myself of the
satisfaction of having them with me — I believe
it was after you, I presented to the Empress
the traveling chart thro' Mr Lanskay, and
received in return a gold Snuff box valued
800R. with thanks & satisfaction which were
deliver'd to me by Mr Lanskay in a numerous
assembly of people, one morning whilst he was
dressing himself to the very great astonishment
of myself and others. I am very Sensible for
this attention given to my work and for the
manner in which it was done, You must needs
think I took care to below out the favourable
reception of my chart with intention to point out the negligence
with which other people received it, and I believe
to have Spur'd them on, to it an exact imitation
