come away above a pint of matter, is gone away so as to be
scarce visible without coming to a Superation, and has
left but a very little hardness behind; but there, in it's
stead, there is come another Swelling under my left Arm,
It is transversly in the arm-pit, and resembles a Cord
or Roll of flesh about the heighth & breadth of one's little
Finger, but longer reaching from the fore, to the hinder
part; there are becides this other lesser ones almost
adjoyning & parralel. I applied for some time a
pultice of bread & milk with a little oil, and changed
it every 2 or 3 hours, but as I tied it on by a
handkerchief which passed round my Neck the whole
together made such a Thickness under my arm that
the under fleshy Part became inflamed, so that I
discontinued my Pultice and applied a Softening Plaister
of I know not what, which being thin & kept on by a
linnen bandage promises to be of more benefit; I
cannot make much use of my arm, but when I keep
it still it gives me but little Pain. in other respects I
am very well, I have a great appetite which I know
not how to satisfy for fear of inflaming my arm
my Dinner is Rasberry Jam, Milk & bread, and at other
times when I eat, it is biscuits made of flower & water,
I am not however yet strong enough to walk out much
nor can I bear the motion of such Carriages as this
Place affords.
