This, my Lord, and the probability of further difficulties
engaged them to return and determine on remaining here
during the Winter; but Mr Bentham, being impatient
to see his Brother, set out again on horseback the 10th.
instant escorted by one of my Janissaries, accompanied
with the strongest Commands of Protection, and as I
have not heard from him since, I have great reason
to hope he has met with no further Impediment.

I shall ever esteem myself particularly fortunate
whenever an opportunity is furnished me of obeying
your Lordships Commands, having the honour to be
with the greatest truth and respect
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient
and humble Servant
R. Ainslie.
