Permit me, my Lord, to take this opportunity, to
Congratulate your Lordship, upon Lord Wycombs taking
upon him the Toga Virilis, by his coming of Age, and
upon his having obtained a Seat in the Senate, where
I doubt not but with a mind cultivated as his
has been and with the abilities which Nature has
endowed him with, He will be capable, upon his
return, of soon rendering his Country the most
eminent Services, and such as may be expected
from a Son, whose Father has given the Blessings
of Peace to this, almost ruin'd, Country, and, in it's
effects, to all Europe.

That you may both long live to enjoy the
Fruits of so great a Benefit is the sincere wish,
of
My Lord,
Your Lordship's
most obedient and
humble Servant
Jere:h Bentham

Queen's Square Place
