acquainted with your Situation, and the various Engagements
in which the Russian Col.l is employed, will not only give me
the highest satisfaction, but will be such a one as promises
to afford me a lasting Entertainment for the Remainder of
my Life, since it will enable me upon my return home
to enjoy in Idea every Circumstance relative to you where
you are; and if it please God I should happen to draw
my last Breath there, your Mother I hope, may depend on
my dear Jeremy's accompanying her back to England,
and delivering her safe to both your Brothers here.
If our Plan should take place, we think it may be practicable
to reach you in Six Weeks from the time of our setting out
which, if at all, will probably commence with the first
week in June — we propose staying a month with you
at Critchoff, and to return back possibly by a different
route in case we shall be able to find another full as near
as that we propose to take in coming to you.
As the Idea of such an Enterprise is quite new even to ourselves,
it has not transpired to any of our own Family —
and our putting it in execution must depend, as you may
imagine, upon my being able to make an arrangement of my affairs
that will admit of it — Letters of recommendation, to the principal
places we may have to pass through, I have no doubt of procuring
for the purpose of rendering our Journey in that respect agreable;
the greatest difficulty, I am apprehensive of, is, the making our
way from Warsaw; Chance however has made me acquainted
