Mr Shakespear presents his Compts to Mr Bentham, has examined the prizes
put to the several articles of the Day & Measured Bills & finds no extraordinary
charge — And as to the Quantity of Time & Materials charged in the Day Bill
it being concealed & cannot be come at; for which Glanvill may be put to his Oath
for his Justification must produce his Books & the principal Man who did the
Work — Mr. S. also thinks as the measured work is so small a part of Glanvill's
demand, it would be unnecessary to enter into that — but thinks with submission
it would be most adviseable for Mr Bentham to settle the balance of this Account
by giving Notes payable at such times as his Dividends or Rents shall become
due
