You would naturally suppose from this that there
had been some previous misunderstanding: some previous
supposed ill usage of on my Brother's part previously complained
of, and unredressed, some harsh line treatment given
or at least harsh language used: some promises
or at least hopes given on the one part and eluded
on the other: some explanation required with regard
to him on the one side, and refused eluded on the other.
