5 June afternoon 1788

Dear Bentham,

I inclose Part of the Monthly Review, which will probably
give you some pleasure, notwithstanding the impertinent
Remarks on the Style at the End.

I think upon the whole it is better done than most
Articles in Reviews, and we have been tempted to
think it is written by some friend but we cannot
guess who [nor I neither J.B.]

P.S. on coming to Town I learn that the Defence of Usury
has been reprinted at Dublin. when you have done
with the Inclosed, return it if you please ( not to Mr
Wilson to whom I have given an other) but to me.
I may perhaps send it to Sam. June 10 1788.
