Dear Sir
Looking upon you as the Uncle to both my
Sons, & the only relative they know in life besides
myself, & under the persuasion that it will
give you some satisfaction to be acquainted
with any particulars relative to either of
them; I am induced to copy & send you
for you the enclosed Extracts fro of two
Letters reced from a Mr Hynam at Petersburg by my Son Jeremy
containing some accounts of his Brother —
and also a copy of a Letter from the latter
which I rec dated 7th July last N.S.
which came to me by the Post yl 4th inst.
by which you will find he is no longer
at Cherson but having had a regiment
given him, in S stationed in Siberia, he is
was set out thither at his own request
and is is now by this time I hope happily arrived.
It is a great comfort to me, & I dare
say will afford be some to you
to know that he is removed from a place of
danger where he acquired so much
but wch proved so unbearable to his health
