Regiment, & one who has been strongly
recommended to me for a young man
of excellent Character on acct of his
ability in his profession & also for his
conduct & good disposition in every respect
Having received ( among other papers
relative to him that from time to time
seem to say he during his since he left
England) a Particular Account of the
several Places he went to at
during his Excursion over Siberia —
when he was there in the years of 81/2
I find by my Map of Russia,
that he has been at Omsk before
& is well acquainted with every
other Part of Siberia he is sent to
wch the recommendation
he has said could write him from Potemkin
cannot but insure him a very agreeable
reception from every Person & Place, he
will now have occasion to go to.
When you come next to Town, I shall be
glad to see you that we may in our
accompany him upon the
Map in the his Journey to Siberia from Cherson
and where he is now stationed at the former
