Norfolk Earl Marshal and Our Hereditary
Marshal of England Greeting: Whereas
Samuel Bentham Esqr Colonel of the Regiment
of Rajsk in the Service of Her Imperial
Majesty of all the Russias hath by his Petition
humbly represented unto Us that having
been entrusted with the Command of the first
division of the Flotilla employed on the Limaz
under His Serene Highness Prince Nassau
Siegen, he had the good fortune to meet with
Her Imperial Majesty's most gracious
approbation of his conduct in consequence
of which he was honoured with the Cross of
the Military Order of St George, The Petitioner
