Moldavia Yesry. Feby 3d 1790
Sir

In my Letter from St Petersburgh
I told you Col. Gorsiosky promised to send
me off immediately after a stay of 3 weeks. he
at last dispatched me - I was only nine
Days from Petersburgh there - Mr Popoff recd
your Dispatches & myself remarkably well.

The Prince has spoke a little with me
& told me at that time he would talk with me again
some Days have elapsed & he has yet said nothing
more - I know not when I shall be dispatched
- I assure you I am thoroughly
weary of this place - The Prince holds a great
Court here, he amuses the Moldavians with
Plays, Concerts, Balls, Fireworks & every
Evening. We have continued fresh weather
up to the knees in mud, I have a great
deal of News to tell you in person, which
prudence prevents me writing

Sir, I have the Honor to be
with sincere Esteem your Obt
Servt.

Wm Newton
