but as I hope to have the Honour of seeing you here the next
year, then you yourself will be best able to Judge, and not
depend upon Storys, which may be false, the Commandant
is Exceeding Civil to me, Lending me his Boat or
any thing I stand in need of, but Like me he wishes much
either to see you or receive an Order from Government,
I believe there might be a very profitable Trade opened
between here and Batavia, or some of the French
Settlements in India, which must be carried on either
in Dutch Ducats or Spanish Dollars, M:<hi rend="underline">r Shellekoff
has a very fine Chart of the Coast of America, which
I wish you cou'd Obtain a Copy of as he wou'd
not Lend it to me, with the Best directions
about the trade winds, and Monsoons on the
Coast of China, which I believe you will find
in Ansons or Cooks Voyages —
