Q.S.P. West. June 25 —1792.
Dear Sir
Your goodness will I doubt not Excuse the liberty In this season of comparative leisure, excuse the
liberty I take in this season of comparative leisure recalling the Panopticon Convict proposal to your
recollection thoughts. Many reasons some which you could imagin,
others which you could not have imagined, concurr in rendering
it of the utmost importance to me to know whether it still preserves
the same favourable place it appeared to occupy in
your thoughts — Had I run the risk of its escaping
your memory you while in town, the door might have been
shut against it by your departure for the West.
your departure for the Hampshire might have shut the door against
it till the return of the next busy season, a delay which with
respect to me as I am circumstanced would be much probably be the same thing as amount to operate as
a final be equivalent to a negative.
